Cell phones are quite common in industrialized regions of the world, with rapid proliferation continuing as the cost of service declines. In order to get users to upgrade their handsets and pay a premium for higher-speed services, network operators will need to invent and market new, compelling services. HSDPA and HSUPA can help them do just this.
